C’est toujours un plaisir de partager la sortie d’un nouveau topo d’escalade d’un site mythique. Cette semaine le nouveau topo d’escalade du Saussois dans l’Yonne vient de sortir.
Le Saussois c’est cette falaise proche d’Auxerre qui a connu son âge d’or dans les années 80 avec la libération des voies les plus dures du site par des parisiens. C’est cette voie que tout le monde rêve de faire -Chimpanzodrome – que l’auteur du topo Thomas Revest a grimpé en solo intégral (sans corde) sur la photo de couverture.
Le topo contient 197 pages, 3 sites dont le Saussois , les Rochers du Parc et Voutenay sur Cure. Un topo tout en couleur avec des photos qui présente aussi les highlines faisables sur place ainsi que des activités et des sites à visiter dans les environs. C’est un vrai guide touristique qui nous l’espérons aidera au développement touristique de la région.
Le site pourra ainsi revivre et attirer des grimpeurs des régions environnantes grâce à ce topo du Saussois. Le célèbre grimpeur Seb Bouin est venu au Saussois tourner un épisode de sa série Vintage Rock Tour juste avant la sortie du topo. Vous pourrez ainsi retrouver des images de Seb Bouin ce nouveau topo du Saussois. Vous pouvez suivre sa série sur youtube :
Cette édition 2021 tombe à pic avec la fermeture des salles d’escalade et l’ouverture des librairies. Les grimpeurs de falaise pourront ainsi découvrir ou re-decouvrir le site. Près de 400 voies à grimper avec des voies faciles, intermédiaires et dures. Il y en a pour tous les niveaux.
Le topo se trouve au camping de Merry sur Yonne, à Décathlon Auxerre, dans les libraires autour d’Auxerre et Au Vieux Campeur à Paris.
